“I’d let anyone go down on me. Woman, man, goat. Whatever.”
– Avitable
If I had an award, I’d give it.
That’s a fucking classic statement right there. And this is coming from Me – Maria – someone who is so freaked out by bestiality [no, it's not beastiality you numbnuts] that she once had to pull her car over and vomit on the side of the road when listening to a guy on Howard Stern describe a donkey show he saw in Mexico. *shudders*
Okay, on to my personal opinion regarding universal bisexuality:
I do not believe that every person is or has considered being bisexual.
I think that there are people in existence, and a pretty large number of them at that, who have never considered it and who have never had any desire for or fantasy about it.
It’s interesting to me that many say that all women are, but men aren’t, as if there is some predetermined genetic disposition to bisexuality in just those with ovaries. That seems illogical to me, although I do believe that we may have been influenced by societal values, and what we see in popular media: you know the ol’…

I think that because it is more ‘acceptable’ for two women to be seen together that women are more likely to ponder bisexuality, experiment with it, or even just manage to think about it for two seconds without going “Dude! Eww!! Nooo!!!”
I dunno, I’m no sexual anthropologist.
I’m pretty sure I could never eat pussy.
I still marvel at how men can do it – and enjoy it. Friggin’ mindboggling.
But I love 2 girl 1 guy porn [no cups you sickos!], and The L Word can get me going too, so it’s there – it’s just something that I know I’ll never act on.
I don’t think that everyone is like that.
My pal on the other hand, thinks that anyone who claims not to have at least thought about trying it is a liar. *shrugs*
P.S. I’ll have a new computer sometime next week, I think. Cross your fingers!

Goats. Oh, my.
dkaye’s response above is awesome.
I’m attracted to people- to a person’s attitude and overall persona. Plain and simple. Gender doesn’t really play a role in that, I guess.
And YAY on the new computer!
i agree, i know i have never considered being bisexyual. great post and nice blog, chk me out one dayy when u in my neck of the blogosphere, and let me know if u like what u read, maybe if u do u will add me to your blog roll and let me know if i can add u.
The donkey thing? They talk about that in The 40 Year Old Virgin. Blahhhh.
Did you know that throughout history it was actually more acceptable for men to sleep with other men than it was for women to sleep with other women? And now, male bisexuality or bi-curiosity is looked down upon while femail bisexuality is looked upon favorably. Weird.
I went to a kid’s birthday party today and one of the guests was wearing that gay marriage phrase on a t-shirt.
OK-I can see the whole ‘anyone go could down on me’ thing. No doubt. Minus animals of course.
However, when I voted that everyone has a wandering thought towards their same sex, I was thinking in a more general sense, like ‘Hey Traci, could you make out with this chick?’ Not so much on the tending to another womans nether regions.
I love boobs. I have kissed another woman, and I could totally get into feeling up another woman.
But, it’s my crippling vaginaphobia that does me in every time on the bisexuality thing.
It’s a completely mental issue.
Place anyone in a sensory depravation chamber of some sort, and fondle their genitals. Manual. Oral. Whatever.
If they can get over the fact that they’re in some strange clinical study, they’ll probably become PHYSICALLY aroused. Regardless of the sex of the fondler.
Now, that’s pretty damned obvious, right? But let’s look at the mental. We are a very easily conditioned species. Most of our opinions aren’t honestly our own. Entire societies that did not stigmatize homosexuality presented a very different opinion than what you highlight above.
It’s enough to make me wonder.
