my measurements back then -
too embarrassed now

So my Haiku’icFriday Confession is that I’ve gained a shit load of weight since I had my 2nd child. It’s not baby weight. It’s lazy-overeating-never-get-off-my-ass-possibly-hormonal-because-of-the-tubal weight. I need to lose…I want to say…60 pounds. J. and everyone else says that that’s way too much and that I’ll look anorexic but I pay them no mind.

The only time you pay attention to someone telling you that you want to lose too much weight is when they say “You don’t need to lose a pound!”

If they say anything like oh, that’s too much!” or maybe 10 or 15” or “you could just tone up a bit!” then they’re full of shit; they think you’re a walrus and are trying not to hurt your feelings.Trust me.

l f444a5b4c7d3ea2b9e0b6cdc44502a22 Confessional HaikuMy tits weigh 10 pounds each. I swear they do. That might sound like a lot, but I’m totally serious. I’m not exactly sure, but I think it’s a fair estimate. Take the photo to the left [click it to enlarge]. Can you see how the boobage takes up as much of the photo, vertically, as the torso of the 1 year old Goobie? They’re even bigger now. I wear a 34H – and it HURTS. Yes… ridiculous.

My main disappointment in being this big though? That I *still* have a flat ass. Oh, it’s wide! But there’s no bubble. I couldn’t get my mom’s spectacularly black ass. I had to get my dad’s simply non-existent Mexican ass. Thanks for that papi! Oh, and the nose. LOVE them. {/sarcasm.}

Now! I know that I need to lose weight. I know that I’m young and that there’s still time to do it before my metabolism shuts down even further, and that I’d really like to enjoy my young years in more than lycra blend shirts and elastic waist pants, but what am I going to do about it? Heh.
Probably exactly what I’m doing now – nada.

You and me both, Maria. If only the poundage came off as easily as it goes on! I wish I had the $/willpower/energy to do something about it.

34H?! Holy crap. I bet you do have backpain from them babies!

It sucks not having the willpower to lose weight. I like cookies and chocolate. I can’t help it.

I do sometimes think of sitting next to my skinny-ass cousins on the beach and I only eat one hershey bar instead of two. That’s something… right?

Ahhh weight issues, they are evil. I need to lose some too, but I have promised myself I will never ‘diet’ again as that’s what made me put on weight in the first place. I’m just trying to make little changes that don’t hurt too much, and am planning to exercise more…or at least sometimes.

I too have a flat arse. Maybe we should all just wear those special butt lift pants?

34H??! Okay, I’ll give the big boobs to you, but 34 is SMALL. I was a 34 pre-preg. You are beautiful.

I hate when people say, you just need to tone up a bit…that’s the classy way of saying, you’re chunky. You’re so right. I agree with SSP though, you’re beautiful, girl. No shitting.

yes, yes yes, you are beautiful. love yourself, no one else does what you do, is who you are. you are what you think you are. think you are beautiful! we do!

it’s easy for me to tell other people what i never take on board myself. but then, i’m stoopid. you? smart. do as i say, not as i do.

I am right there with you . . . except for the 34H. But my treadmill keeps giving the evil eye. The bastard.

Good God! Could you be any prettier? I will have to break up with you, as I can’t be friends that much prettier than me.

(I am so snarky)

I’m totally with Kathryn. I have no boobs and a Baby Got Back butt. I’ll happily trade you!

Damn! I’d kill for a little of your cleavage! But I imagine that would be hard on your back.

On ther other hand, having a huge bubble butt isn’t easy either. People want to use it as a table, you get sway back, Your ass hits people when you turn too close to them. You’re always wondering if someone just goosed you or if you picked up a pen with your ass cheeks by accident! Haha Hope that makes ya feel better.

I’m 10 months post partum with baby 2 and I’d like to say that it’s baby weight, but it’s SO not. I’m just a lazy, cookie eating loser.

And you are beautiful, and need to shut up already!

yeah, i’m not getting past the 34h thing, either, but i DO know that my friend had a 32i when she was nursing.

no one believed her. she cut the tag out of her bra so she could show us.

Oh Maria!! I have been exactly where you are. I did, eventually lose the weight (Weight Watchers. no, they’re not paying me to shill. It was just the only thing that worked.) But my biggest regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Now that I don’t HAVE to shop in the plus-sized stores, i just feel too old for a lot of the cute little clothes I can finally fit. Just don’t think that you CAN’T do it. You sound pretty damn determined to me…

You know, I think my boobs weigh at least 10 pounds each too!!

Maybe we can lose the weight together, via the internet.

Can you blog and jog at the same time? We could try!

Wow, well you be careful on just how much weight you lose hun, because you could very possibly turn those 34H’s into very flat 34 E’s or something, not sure how that works out. That’s what making me not want to lose too much weight, I need to lose about 50 myself, but I don’t want my 34d’s to get any flatter, but that’s my self conscious kicking in. I think at this point, I don’t care what my boobs look like as long as I can get thin. Good luck, and don’t beat yourself up about things.

LOL! I’m sure your ass is cute as can be, and I’ll bet J and everyone else is right about the 60 pounds. I remember when I was around your age I thought I needed to lose enough weight to get back to my 18 year old weight. What I didn’t realize was that I still had normal growing, filling out at that age. When I started to look really lovely and womanly I thought it was fat. I’ve seen pictures of me at 24. Definitely not fat. Lovely. As are you.

Funny ‘ku! I gained 20 pounds after quitting smoking because I developed a cooking habit (involving things like extra butter and cheese and bacon and stuff).

H? Wow. All my life I’ve been trying to get past A…

Um, I *love* the graphic you have for the Haiku Friday, so I have to ask – is it yours all yours, public domain, something you’d share? I have a thing for Ukiyoe. It’s cool if not, but I couldn’t not ask!
