How’s ’bout I give you a quick rundown of the past few days, eh?
1. Goobie became sick. Dehydrated, lethargic, discolored, scarily sick.
2. I became sick. I suck at being sick. The simplest cold can put me down and out. I become the most irritable, self absorbed, woeful and evil person on the planet with the slightest sniffle. So you can imagine how I’ve been with the flu.
3. I was booted, along with five of my best friends, from a local mommy group for being too awesome. No, seriously – that’s the reasoning behind it. We are just so out of their league that they became intimidated and went on a witch hunt to find any potential rules we violated in order to justifiably boot us. Only problem with that is now the entire board is imploding and they have alienated the main source of entertainment and activity ie. us.
4. I babysat James, my friend’s rambunctious Beagle puppy and committed myself to cleaning up piss and shit from my area rug for two days straight. Hell. It did help me realize that we are not ready for a puppy or anything similar to a puppy. Such a sweet, cute dog though. He’d mess up and them give me that look and I’d fight the urge to say “awww man, go ‘head and chew the nose off of Bella’s Fur Berry!”
5. I got in my car and hit CD #6 and instead of hearing Linkin Park I was slapped in the face by Hannah fucking Montana. Don’t ask me how that shit got in my car. It’s not there anymore.
6. My tongue is swollen and sore because I had the shivers last night and my teeth couldn’t stop chattering, therefore they couldn’t stop biting the sides of it over and over and over.
7. We took Bella to the mall to purchase some new sneakers and she picked out a pair of white Vans with hot pink and black puppies all over them. They don’t match anything in her closet aside from a Beatles shirt. Yes, I am so anal that my 4 year old’s outfits always match from hair bow to shoe sole.
8. J. stopped my recording of The Tudors, season one, episode one on DVR. The canceling of any Jonathan Rhys-Meyers fix is not allowed and does not go unpunished. I’m currently contemplating how best to approach the subject because I can’t just come at him like “Hey! You cannot stop The Tudors because it does not repeat and I’ve now missed out on yet another scene of Jonathan’s bare buttocks and steamy moans of simulated sex which gives me such pleasure that I have to shower afterwards!”
I’m sure I’ll come up with something…

I saw that you stopped by my blog a while back and since I had some time I thought I would venture out to see your blog….
I am ever so anxious to read the whole story about the mommy group, I myself have never fit into one so I am intrigued by them….

No way! I was kicked out of a moms’ group, too! Is that like a rite of passage for awesome moms or what?
BTW, I don’t blame you one bit for being mad about the Tudors thing. I have to wait for it to come out on DVD. *sigh*

I saw your comment about “exploding hamburgers” on AFF’s post and HAD to come visit. That was so funny I think I wet myself. Of course, that’s my plight after have two kids, you know? I’ll definitely be back!
Oh, and btw, I loved Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in August Rush. I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow as to how they hooked up and how freakin quickly it all came about, but given the circumstances, I wouldn’t kick him out the bed for cold feet either.
