He was a great, intelligent, talented man.
Huge loss for society, imo.

you have some of my all time faves on there. Especially Spinal Tap. And The Matrix. I remember having a spontaneous orgasm when I saw Keanu Reeves step onto the screen in all of the leather.

And now, I feel totally naive for never registering the fact that George Carlin could die, nevermind DID. I’m sad, now.

What an awesome bastard he was, too!
I went thru the list. It’s sitting by my computer at home to add any movie I didn’t see.  (which is a lot more than 3)

He is a funny, funny man.  RIP

I saw the list in my EW too.  I was kind of surprised by some of them.  I think I’ve seen most of them too.  Some really good ones in there.

Only 8 years old. My parents let me watch him on HBO.  I mean, at least I never had to ask the big Ps what the heck he was talking about.

He will be hugely missed.

I would love to see your list of movies to see!  I have a page on my blog for movies I’ve seen this year, but I’m not including DVDs on there, just new releases.  I think I’m up to 30 so far this year…  Yes, I am a movie fiend.  I’m stealing this list to see how I do… and probably coming out the other side with a list much longer than 3 that I need to rent!

You’d never heard of Broadcast News?  I believe it won best picture that year.  There are many on that list I don’t agree with…isn’t that always the case with lists?  Totally subjective.

He was quite awesome! Not really many comedians who could connect with so many generations. Really, my mom and I don’t laugh at the same stuff at all, but he always had us rollin’!

Girl, you have seen a LOT of movies!

That list of movies is very impressive. I’m not even in the same league.

I was about 15 when Carlin’s Seven Words were first making waves. He was a real renegade.

So much of his work was so honest and hysterical.  Pissed we now live in a world with no George Carlin.  It ain’t right.
