Poetical, Confessional, Multiple Craziness.

So, I participate willing and happily in only one particular MeMe; Haiku Fridays. This is due to my own annoyance at blogs that shield their lack of content with paid posts and memeatic [<--yeah, I made it up] nonsense. Not to say all heavily meme’d weblogs have no substance – some of my favorites are chock full of ‘em, but some are just…bland. Anyway, at the request of the marvelous Sue Doe-Nim, I’m ponying up the goods for another one. It’s called Friday Confessions. Maybe on my more creative days I’ll be able to combine the two but not today.

l d4e76befef74f154f02c8007f54d7638 Poetical, Confessional, Multiple Craziness. My confession of 02.29.08 is – I have not washed my hair this week. I have extremely curly hair, as you can see from the photo, that is a bitch to detangle. I’m also what us black folk call ‘tender headed’. If you happen to pull my hair too hard I’m liable to punch the shit out of you -purely reflex. And, I’ve awoken with a headache every single day this week and haven’t had the balls to torture myself through a 5 minute brush out session. So I’ve packed it into a clip or ponytail and let it be. I’ll wash it today. Probably. Maybe. I dunno. Hey! I like my nose in that picture! It doesn’t look so…desperately in need of rhinoplasty.

And finally – I was tagged by Sue for The Crazy Eights.

I love your curly hair! If that is what it looks like after not washing it for a week, you SUCK!
I have naturally curly hair but blow it straight most of the time because it is easier to manage.

You have quite a range in music taste. I love it!!!

I miss reading, like actual literature instead of textbooks . . . I’m adding those to my “to-read” list though.

I want to be there when you shoot Lindsey.

I now need to go listen to Can’t Knock the Hustle..

And as Kathryn so nicely stated.. you suck. If I went five days without washing my hair I would be mistaken for a homeless person and here you are looking like a super model.

Your hair looks great for not having washed it! I love curly hair, sadly, I didn’t get it. My best friend did and I tell her all the time how I envy her. She tells me she feels the same about my hair.

I enjoyed your haiku by the way!

Oh. My. God. You need rhinoplasty like I need larger breasts. So please shut up now. Thanks.

*whines* Why don’t *I* get to know the secret passion? lol.

Love you!

Ha! I only washed mine once this week, and I have straight hair. But you know how long it is, and takes like a fucking hour to wash, condition, detangle & dry. I really hope people make me get a haircut! (But then what will my excuse be…?..hmm)

Your list of books! Wow! I really should read the classics.

If I didn’t wash my hair everyday, it would be GROSS. I wish it wasn’t true. Yours is gorgeous.

Yeah, I agree with the others – your hair looks awesome curly!

You have a cute nose! I hate my nose in profile shots. You will probably never see a profile shot of me on my blog, unless I’m in the mood to humiliate myself, which happens frequently, so scratch that. Maybe someday I’ll show the world my great big honker. I’ve been told I look like Barbara Streisand. :-P

A top secret passion? Oh, I love a good mystery.

I love your new layout!

I think I will self-tag for this meme, since you don’t tag, and I’m bored as all hell.

ATLAS SHRUGGED IS THE BEST BOOK EVER. Though try saying that at my old Catholic high school, and you’ll get a pretty dirty look from the priest who teaches

I wish my hair looked like that after a week without a shampoo! Mine looks like stringy stands of grease after 2 days!

My sister just rescued a dog from New Orleans.

A four month old mixed breed with only one eye. :(

He’s cute anyway!

First, I love the new look! Second, I hate you for having hair that looks so freaking good when unwashed.

If I didn’t wash my hair for a week, it would be a nasty, stringy, greasy mess!

You are gorgeous!

I like to think that not washing hair too much is good for it. That’s what I tell myself.

I think your hair looks HOT in that picture. I don’t care how nappy you say it is, that’s a smokin’ do. sister.

Seriously? Shut UP about your perfect nose already. You’re just too hot for words.

Oh, and I tagged you for a meme. Several, actually. I’m such a bitch.

By the way, I think I spit water through my nose three times during the reading of that meme. Is it possible to love you more with every post on your blog?

I hear ya about the hair! I also have curly hair, but I flat iron it alot… and if I make it straight I will not wash it for a few days. Any way dirty hair is easier to flat iron..haha.

it really isn’t fair that you look a million times better than me just AFTER a hair washing.

i am a huge tears for fears fan. so i didn’t like the first two seconds of the disturbed version. i don’t love heavy guitar, and think that (don’t know who it was) completely destroyed a eurythmics song last year with that kind of stuff. HOWEVER. the third second, i was in love.

Um…I happen to think that dirty hair ROCKS! But you knew that already.

And I have recently developed a hatred for meme’s. From now on I’m going to hold off on them until I’ve accumulated a handful and then I’ll just do one big, made up meme of my own design whilst giving a shout out to the appropriate peeps. Sound good?
