I can’t drink wine because it gives me a massive hangover if I only have half a glass. I’d totally be breaking out the bud if it were legal. Instead I just watch HBO shows on DVD.

Totally late commenting on this (just found your blog today, and it rocks!), but I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s kind of like in high school when everyone smoked because it was cool only now it’s drinking wine because you’re a mom. Also, 1. Pot should be legal, it’s dumb that it’s not. And 2. wine sucks.

I’m not a mama. My mama had a liquor closet and didn’t care if we drank as long as we weren’t driving. Also something frowned upon. As long as you’re not getting the kiddies high, eh, whatever.

I think you and your vice are safe here, I would venture a guess that your readers don’t harbor strong feelings on the difference and social acceptance between dope and booze. I don’t. My only concern is like one person said, unfortunately, the ramifications are so much stricter for one than the other. Regardless of wrong or right. All that aside, if anyone -including you- smoke dope, I see no reason you can’t toke in the masses(or type about it) unless you feel uncomfortable doing so.
