Stacey @ RealWorldMom tagged me because I’m the awesome and she realizes it. Wait – no, because she’s the awesome and she knows I that I realize it. Here are my lists of five things I love and five things I hate. Sooo easy – I love or hate everything – there’s no gray area for me; I’m drastic!

Things I Love
1. My girls [that's mushy and cliché] Dog Rescue. It’s my passion. I specialize in the rehabilitation of bully and brachycephalic breeds. I’ve been involved with over 6 dozen successful placements so far. I’m on sabbatical right now though. I’ve kind of had my fill of abused Pit Bulls and tepid Boxers for the time being.
2. Strawberries. Except, I don’t get why people view them as sexy or as an aphrodisiac. I mean, I don’t find little dark seeds and fruit veins in your teeth or red stained plaque buildup at the gumline to be appealing. Or that sickening slurpy sound you make to avoid the juice dribbling down your chin. But maybe that one guy from way back then just had bad dental hygiene and manners.
3. Anime. Yes, I love it. With a passion. It started with Akira. But it really developed when I first saw Andasen dôwa ningyo-hime or, The Little Mermaid. The realness, the darkness, the ending – it took my breath away, even @ 5 years old and I still love it dearly. It continued throughout my childhood with YuYu Hakusho and Dragonball Z. It is still very present and if I had it my way, my Valentine’s Day weekend would be in Washington, D.C @ Katsucon.
4. Writing [talk about cliché] Blogging [even worse] Big Words. I really have a thing for big words. They turn me on. It’s sickening actually. I think I mentioned in my ’100 Things about Me’ blog that my favorite word is Bababadalgharaghta- kamminarronnkonnbronntonnerronntuonnt- hunntrovarrhounawnskawntoo hoohoordenen- thurnuk.
5. Soda. I used to really love juice. And lemonade. Now I feel like I can’t function without soda. Not that diet shit either – the real stuff. It’s horrible on my hyperglycemia, but I don’t care.

Things I Hate
1. Breed Specific Legislation. It goes back to my dog rescuing – it is the bane of my existence. Bullies are the new black man. I’m totally serious with that. If you agree with BSL or are prejudiced against pit bulls, amstaffs, staffies or the like, I suggest you get the fuck off my blog because I hate you too and I’m throwing e-bricks @ you as you read.
2. Hanna Montana/Miley Cyrus. Someone shoot her already.
3. PeTA. PeTA kills animals. The entire organization is corrupt and hypocritical. Educate yourselves on the horrors of their policies, beliefs and actions.
4. Bridges. Not overpasses, just bridges over water. They freak me out – my only irrational fear. Phobia, actually. I used to hyperventilate and get shooting pains in my temples when going over bridges as a kid. I’m better now. [Edit - 02.09.08 @ 4:18pm - There's a name for it! I had no idea! It's called Gephyrophia. Thanks Anglophile Football Fanatic!!!]
5. Pseudo-Photographers. It really gets under my skin when people get a SLR and start calling themselves photographers. Especially when their photos are mediocre. You have to have training, talent, and an innate ability to be a photographer. If you don’t, you just have a damn camera. Call photography your hobby. Don’t call yourself a photographer.

I found that post neither circumlocutory, nor tautologous.

I try to be punctilious.

Some asshole in my state legislature keeps introducing breed specific legislation. So far he hasn’t had any luck.

Amen on the animal rescue issues! Did you see my blog about Hector the Pit Bull? (http://69.253.47.61:8888/?p=102) The beginning of that story really pissed me off, but, for Hector, at least, it has a happy ending!

P.S. I absolutely *do* realize how awesome you are!!

Peta is a terrorist organization, in my opinion. I’m an animal rights activist and they make me puke.

Ok, so I learned something here today…

PETA kills animals…ummm, did NOT know that!!! Those bastards!! And to think I send them money!!!

I also learned what circumlocutory, tautologous, and punctilious mean…I looked them up ;)

If you brush your teeth with crushed up strawberries, it’s a natural whitener.

I am so full of random, useless information. Who brushed with effing strawberries? No one, of course.

i’m with you on the strawberry thing. i *never* knew what was sexy about that. now, bananas? okay, the imagination can stretch to that. i wouldn’t *personally* use a banana, but one could see how it is probably sexier than a strawberry.

i think i’ve said too much.

Google it and you can play Scrabble online all day (and night) long.

I call myself an amateur photographer, because the myriad of photography classes I took were over decade ago, so I don’t feel up to the measure with pro’s.

Like for example, Ansel Adams, whose images speak to me on a visceral level.

As for the big words, you should be a FreeRice.com addict!

haha I love it. Hannah Montana drives me crazy. I am ADDICTED to Dr Pepper. I really need to stop.

and the photographer thing – I agree. I love Photography- but I am not good enough to be a pro and I just love to do it.

Btw- thanks for the advice to help get the puppy to stop chewing. Luckily that was the only thing she really destroyed.

You rescue dogs–yeah!!! Addicted to soda/or pop as I call it (a midwestern thing????). Hanna Montana–enough with the madness!!! Ugh. Ugh. And PETA–freaks me out!

Baha, loved it, I was snickering all the way through and yay for number 5 about the photographers! You’re so right. And about the strawberries! Sorry, I use small words. And like them. I hope you still like me.

If not….

Travie. McCoy. Me and you? We bonded. I haven’t found a single other girl in the blogosphere that loves him like we do!

My husband and I rescued a boxer when we got our first dog. She was the BEST pet ever. On your hate list 1-4 is so me. hate, Hate, HATE bridges. I have to drive over a 4-mile bridge (twice) everyday. Thanks for giving that fear a name.
